Sir Roland Wilson Foundation PhD Scholarship title

The Sir Roland Wilson (SRW) Foundation PhD scholarship provides high performing Australian Public Service (APS) employees a 3-year, full pay scholarship at ANU, to undertake research on topics of national significance.

Taiwan Australian National University Scholarship title

In 2023, ANU re-signed an agreement with the Department of International and Cross-Strait Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan) (hereunder referred to as "DICE") to continue the Taiwan Australian National University Scholarship until 2028.

The scholarship program commenced in 2013 and provides tuition fees and stipends for up to 5 Taiwanese students per year to undertake PhD studies at ANU over the course of the five year agreement. The scholarships will be jointly funded by ANU and DICE.

Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship for Doctoral Study title

Bhati Family India Travel Grant title

This annual grant is offered by the College of Asia and the Pacific but open to students of all Colleges at the Australian National University. It is funded in perpetuity by the Bhati Family Endowment to foster regional interconnectedness and encourage talented students to build mutually beneficial relationships between Australia and India.

The grant will assist current ANU students from any discipline who need to travel to India for their research.

Elspeth Young Memorial Grant title

The Elspeth Young Memorial Grants have been made possible by the generous bequest from Dr Elspeth Young to provide financial support to Indigenous Australian undergraduate and graduate students at the Australian National University. This support will be directed to costs necessary and incidental to studies, but not including any fees.

There is limited funding available so unfortunately it is not always possible for the committee to approve, or approve in full, all applications.

ANU Region Scholarship title

Freilich Indigenous Student Scholarship in Law title

The Freilich Indigenous Student Scholarship in Law was created to assist people in the Indigenous Community who want to attend University to obtain a degree in Law to further their career aspirations.  The Scholarship aims to offset some of the financial burden of attendance at University in the first year of study.   

The Scholarship Fund was established from money donated to the University by the Freilich Foundation.

Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship title

Each year the Australian National University may offer a number of awards known as the Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship with the objective to assist Indigenous students with relocation and accommodation costs when moving from rural or regional areas or for those who are required to move out of the family home to study at the University.
