ANU Residential Scholarship title

Each year the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science (CPAS), within the College of Science (‘the College’) may offer an award known as the Kenneth Kenji Takenaka Grant in Science Communication (‘the Award’).

The objective of the Award is to recognise and support high performing students commencing the Master of Science Communication program at the CPAS.

Haydn Marsh Memorial Scholarship in Family Law title

Each year the ANU College of Law (‘the College’) may offer an award known as the Haydn Marsh Memorial Scholarship in Family Law (‘the Award’).

The objective of the Award is to provide financial assistance to a law student, who has an interest in family law, during their last year of their program.

Funding for this Award has been provided by the law firm Farrar Gesini Dunn, in memory of Haydn Marsh, a lawyer of the firm and ANU alumnus who passed away in February 2023.

ANU College of Law Indigenous Justice and Education Grant title

The objective of the Award is to provide financial assistance to law students to undertake Indigenous justice course or project within the College.

Bhati Family India Travel Grant title

This annual grant is offered by the College of Asia and the Pacific but open to students of all Colleges at the Australian National University. It is funded in perpetuity by the Bhati Family Endowment to foster regional interconnectedness and encourage talented students to build mutually beneficial relationships between Australia and India.

The grant will assist current ANU students from any discipline who need to travel to India for their research.

Elspeth Young Memorial Grant title

The Elspeth Young Memorial Grants have been made possible by the generous bequest from Dr Elspeth Young to provide financial support to Indigenous Australian undergraduate and graduate students at the Australian National University. This support will be directed to costs necessary and incidental to studies, but not including any fees.

There is limited funding available so unfortunately it is not always possible for the committee to approve, or approve in full, all applications.
