ANU is a member of the national network of Elite Athlete Friendly Universities. We aim to identify elite athletes and assist them in the development of skills to help them successfully balance their sporting and academic aspirations.
Current and new students to the University can apply for Elite Athlete Status with ANU Access & Inclusion, who will assist you with establishing an Elite Athlete Education Access Plan (EAEP) to support you in meeting the requirements of your degree.
Find out more about the benefits and assistance provided to ANU students who are identified as elite athletes by visiting the ANU Access & Inclusion Elite Athlete Status website.
As part of our commitment to supporting our elite athletes, ANU also offers rank adjustments for elite athlete applicants to our undergraduate degree programs, in acknowledgement of the commitments you have made which may have impacted your Year 11 and 12 schooling. Elite Athlete adjustments are additional points that may be used in combination with your ATAR to derive your selection rank. Adjustments do not change your ATAR, but do adjust your selection rank for a particular ANU program preference.
To be considered for Elite Athlete adjustments you must:
Elite Athlete adjustments may only be applied to ANU Bachelor degree programs with a selection rank requirement between 80.00-98.00. An adjustment of 5 points may be awarded to eligible applicants, in accordance with the approved schedule. If you are successful for both a National Access Scheme adjustment and an Elite Athlete adjustment, no more than 15 points may be awarded towards your selection rank. Visit the ANU National Access Scheme website for more information.
